LLANIDLOES
CHRISTMAS PARTY.—The annual Christmas party was held at the National Schools on Friday evening last. As in former years the gathering was large and fashionable. The room had been tastefully decorated for the occasion by
Mr Oswald Owen,
assisted by Mr Harris Davies, the Misses Kinsey, Miss Lily Davies, and Miss Maysmor. Dancing commenced at 7-30 p.m., and was continued until after 12 p.m., the music being supplied by Messrs Roberts, harpists, Newtown. Mr R. M. Davies (hon. secretary) and Mr Oswald Owen acted as M.C's. The refreshments were supplied by Mr George Roberts, whose catering gave every satisfaction.

It is interesting to note that the report indicates the party was attended by Oswald and Maurice Owen, two sons of James Owen and his second wife, Mary, and several of the grandsons - James and Timothy Shelby and Frank Owen - of James and his first wife, Susannah, the grandsons living some distance away from Llanidloes.]
