Timothy Morgan Owen (1843 – 1924)

Timothy Morgan Owen was a twin with Rev. Thomas William Owen. Like two of his brothers he was a graduate of TCD. He married well and became both a man of property and a man of some distinction in the community; he was a JP.

He was a powerful speaker on subjects such as education and the church in Wales and was a staunch supporter of the Conservative and Unionist Party. He was a great letter-writer both to individuals and to newspapers; he held strong views on many issues and sometimes courted controversy. Like his brother, Rev. Elias Owen, he was a member of Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Schools.
