Robert F Jones lived to be at least seventy-four.

The sons of Robert F Jones and Margaret (née Gemmill)

Robert and Margaret had two sons. In the 1930 census they were listed as Robert G Jones (7) and John R Jones (13 months); by the 1940 census Robert had became Robert F Jones Jr. but subsequently he was called Robert Gemmill Jones. John's full name was John Richard Jones

Robert's marriage was reported in the G&D 29 March, 1948, p.11:

Jones-Hostetter Miss C. Helen Hostetter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Edward Hostetter, 192 Stock street, became the bride of Robert Gemmill Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Jones, 211 Stock street, at a single ring ceremony performed at the St. Mark's Lutheran church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Dr. John S. Tome, pastor. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The traditional wedding marches were played by Miss Doris Baker, church organist. The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs. John Schnebly, Mechanicsburg, as matron of honor. She had as her flower girl Sue Ann Schnebly, her niece. The best man was the brother of the bridegroom, John Richard Jones. Serving as ushers were Frederick Shultz, Philip Miller, Diller Beard, and Midshipman John Davis. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Richard McAllister hotel, after which the couple left on a trip.

The announcement of their engagement [ES 29 Nov., 1947, p.1] gave more information: "Miss Hostetter is secretary to Dr. Allen J. Reed. Mr. Jones is a senior at Penn State College, pursuing the course of petroleum engineering."
